Located right next to our office, Cannon Ball Brewing Company opened its doors on November 11, 2016 in the Kennedy King neighborhood of King Park. Cannon Ball is a brewpub that brings together thoughtful beer, delicious food, and a sense of community to a great little corner of downtown Indianapolis.
The owners of Cannon Ball, Mark and Tania Swartz, were past King Park Residents of the Month and have lived in Herron Morton for almost 16 years. They are passionate about the mix of art and science in the brewing process, and they wanted to build their business in King Park because of the sense of community and the neighbors.
Since Cannon Ball was started, the brewpub has created nine jobs and was able to rehab approximately 1800 square feet of commercial space. The Build Fund loan helped them acquire brewing and restaurant equipment to start their venture. In the future, Mark and Tania hope to start distributing draft beer to other bars and restaurants.
