Build Fund, an initiative of Intend Indiana and a mission-driven Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), is excited to announce our special purpose credit program (SPCP) supporting Black small businesses. Through our SPCPs Black small business owners will gain access to flexible, affordable, and responsible loan funding addressing inequities in access to capital and narrowing the racial wealth gap for Black business owners.

What we’re offering:
Affordable, mission-driven lending for Black small business owners in Indiana
Who it’s for:
Black small business owners who might not otherwise be approved for a loan or receive it on less favorable terms.
Why it’s valuable:
- Decrease Your Costs: Interest rates at nearly half that of traditional Build Fund loan rates. That means better terms for financing and more money to grow your business
- Flexible Terms: Like all Build Fund loans, our terms are flexible, affordable, and created to remove barriers Black small business owners often face when accessing capital
- Access to Opportunity: Loan criteria that meets you where you are in your journey to access capital, with an emphasis on racial equity
The requirements:
- Small business owners who identify as Black / African American
- Applicants must complete an application process and qualify for a loan
- The loan can be used for property acquisition, construction, rehab, equipment, tenant improvements, or working capital
